Sienna have been working with Swindon Borough Council for many years so we were delighted to pick up this project to transform the former Oxford Brookes Centre into a brand new educational facility for young people in the heart of Swindon.

The former Oxford Brookes building is a very well known heritage building within Swindon Borough Councils portfolio and we therefore need to take extra care and consideration in our approach to the refurbishment works. Our works involved:

  • Internal strip out and removal of all fittings.
  • Internal M & E works.
  • Internal refurbishment of all rooms to new standards.
  • Internal decoration.
  • External decoration and restoring the existing windows.
  • Realignment and refurbishment to WC facilities.
  • Installation of new security system.
  • Asbestos removal from the basement.
  • Installation of street furniture to entrance

As with any heritage project it was great to see the once run down building transformed into a new worthwhile facility and the period features restored.

Value: £650,000
